This month’s mobile app update brings several improvements and bug fixes, with a major focus on expanding our Spanish language support. We’ve introduced new features and enhancements that align with the web experience, updated critical components, and resolved several issues to improve overall app stability.
Important Updates1. Mobile App Localization - Spanish Translation
We are excited to announce that the employee mobile app is now available in Spanish! This localization effort is part of our ongoing commitment to make our platform more accessible to your employees.
Users with their device language set to Spanish will see the app in Spanish, including all navigation, settings, and interface elements.

2. Schedule Colors Matching Web
To ensure a consistent experience across Fingercheck, we’ve introduced new shift colors in the mobile app that match those available on the web.
This update includes differentiating between similar shades, such as light blue and dark blue, to improve clarity and usability.

3. Enhancements
Google Maps Software Development Kit (SDK) update (Android): The Google Maps SDK has been updated to version 19.0.0, improving security, performance, and new features.
Shift screen update (iOS and Android): The add shift screen has been refreshed to include new colors and rules, aligning with the web admin scheduler.
4. Bug Fixes
Expenses (iOS): Users can now add expenses with a $0 amount, matching the behavior on Android.
Quick punch error (iOS): Fixed an issue where the Quick Punch feature was not progressing to the second screen as expected.
Chatbot (iOS and Android): Employee users will no longer see or have access to the chatbot, ensuring it is only available to authorized users.
Reports (Android): Resolved an issue where users received a "Server Error" message when running reports. Reports should now function without errors.
Team Chat status (Android): Corrected an issue where user statuses were not properly displayed.
Team Chat voice notes (iOS and Android): Resolved a problem where voice notes were not recorded properly in Team Chat.
Team Chat push notification counter (Android): The push notification counter now accurately updates when the app is in the background.
Team Chat multiple divisions (iOS and Android): Fixed an issue where the first division continued to display when switching to another division.
Team Chat downloading attachments (Android): Users can now download attached files properly in Team Chat, resolving issues where downloads previously failed.
Spanish translation (iOS and Android): Several translation issues have been fixed, including the admin view unexpectedly switching to Spanish, and date pickers displaying in English instead of Spanish.
Open shift requests: Users can now request open shifts without errors when their system language is set to Spanish.
Language selection: The language options have been updated to properly display "English" and "Spanish" as selectable choices.
Expense module: Fixed translation issues, ensuring date pickers and other elements are fully translated into Spanish.
Task management: Resolved an issue where users were logged out when saving tasks in Spanish.
