BETA Release: Revamped Employee Onboarding - Get Early Access
Onboarding can be a tedious and stressful process, but it needn’t be. When introducing a new hire to your workforce, you want the onboarding process to be smooth and uncomplicated.
To that effect, our onboarding module has been completely revamped with an updated user interface that is more intuitive and user-friendly. The entire onboarding process is now much easier to breeze through.
Now, you can spend less time on paperwork and get your employees ready to start working as soon as possible.
Following are some details regarding this new revamp.
Upon first clicking on the +New Employee button in the Employees tab, you’ll notice that you can now select what kind of employee you are onboarding.
You can choose either a W2 or a 1099 employee. Based on your selection, the Taxes step will then automatically populate with the appropriate W4 or W9 forms.
After selecting the employee type, you’ll see the new Setup Profile wizard!
The new user interface includes many improvements that will allow you to customize your employee’s profile during the onboarding process. You will also notice that certain tasks are now less tedious depending on your company’s setup.
For example, imagine that you own a relatively large company with 20, 30, 40, or even more departments, sub-departments, and available jobs. Instead of endlessly scrolling to try and find the right department to assign the new employee to, you can now simply click on the respective Department, Sub-Department, or Job fields in the Allocations section of Step 1, type in the name of the department, sub-department, or job, and it will search through your listings, pulling up the desired allocations with little to no hassle.
There have also been other tweaks made to improve the overall experience. These improvements include a Progress Tracker which shows how far along you are in the onboarding process, a custom welcome message that appears when the employee receives their Self-Onboarding link, and more clearly indicated fields for uploading pictures and identification documents.
These changes all come together to make onboarding a smooth, intuitive process so you can grow your workforce with ease.
The revamped onboarding is currently released as a beta version.
