Feature Focus - November 2024
This month’s release brings a host of updates, with a strong focus on enhancing the Schedule module to improve scheduling flexibility and clarity for both admins and employees. New features include better management of absence requests, better shift notifications, and the ability for employees to see jobs, tasks, or cost centers in their team schedules. In addition, the W-2 consent process has been streamlined for greater compliance and convenience, and mobile users can now quickly access the Fingercheck app via a smart banner. Bug fixes improve platform reliability and user experience.
What important changes have occurred this month?
Schedule enhancements:
Employees can view shifts by job, task, or cost center in the Team Schedule.
Admins can edit pending and approved absence requests.
Admins can view the job, task, or cost center at a glance in the hover view on the schedule in absence requests. Relevant information is immediately visible in the schedule overview, with other details in the hover view.
New schedule views and notifications empower employees to make more informed scheduling decisions and streamline admin workflows.
The new schedule is set as the default view; users can switch back to the old version.
Default shift colors now apply to absence requests for consistent visual identification for both admins and employees.
Multi-week view enables 1-4 week scrolling across all "View by" options.
Shift-related emails now use updated templates, providing users with clearer communication and direct links for quick access.
The supervisor has updated the clock-in/out notifications for early/late punches.
- New biometric consent and digital W-2 consent processes, including an email, banners, and electronic delivery preferences.
Employee users will see a banner at the top of their page if they need to complete their electronic W-2 consent.
It will continue to be shown until the user makes a selection.
It navigates the user to My Account > Tax Withholding.
We send weekly email reminders for employees to complete W-2 consent.
Weekly reminders for W-2 consent help ensure compliance, and admins can stay informed through detailed reporting.
Admins can run reports on W-2 electronic consent statuses.
Admins can now view employee W-2 delivery preferences directly in profiles.
A smart app banner prompts mobile users to install or open the Fingercheck mobile app.
The smart banner ensures mobile users can access the app effortlessly, enhancing convenience and usability.
Bug Fixes
