In October, Fingercheck introduced the Shift Confirmation feature, Shift Tasks and Notes, and a Background Checks Dashboard, significantly improving scheduling efficiency and HR management. Shift Confirmation allows employees to confirm or decline shifts, improving scheduling transparency and reducing missed shifts. The new Shift Tasks and Notes features enable detailed task tracking, timestamped completions, and easy shift documentation, helping admins and employees stay organized and informed. Additionally, the Background Checks Dashboard streamlines hiring processes by centralizing tracking and management of background checks with real-time status updates for HR teams. These changes make scheduling and HR tools easier to use, improve accountability, and enhance communication.

What's New?

Shift Confirmation: The new Shift Confirmation feature allows employees to confirm or decline scheduled shifts, helping teams stay organized and reducing missed shifts.

  • Admins can require confirmations and view the status of shifts to improve coverage and communication.

  • Notifications keep both managers and workers up to date on the status of each shift.

    • Status tracking: Admins can easily monitor and filter shifts by confirmation status (confirmed, declined, or pending), improving visibility.

  • Available on TA, 360, and 360 Plus plans.

Shift Tasks and Employee Notes: Task tracking is now more efficient, with timestamped completions and attachment requirements that facilitate accurate documentation and responsibility tracking.

  • Shift Tasks and Employee Notes help employees stay organized and prepared for each shift by allowing easy access to task tracking and note-taking directly on the web or mobile app.

  • Shift Task Lists help employees keep track of daily responsibilities specific to their shifts, which is especially helpful for deskless workers in industries with variable job site requirements, such as plumbing or HVAC.

  • Administrators can assign tasks ahead of time or on the go, with the ability to record completed work.

  • Employee users will see a counter displaying the completed number of tasks for the shift/total number of tasks for the shift.

    • The counter will update to reflect the number of tasks completed / total number of tasks for the shift

  • Employees can now add important notes or attachments to their shifts, enhancing communication and documentation through the web or mobile platform.

    • Files should be under 5 MB and can include common formats like HEIC, JPEG, PDF, CSV, and DOC.

  • Available on TA, 360, and 360 Plus plans.

Background Checks Dashboard: The Background Checks Dashboard, found in the Human Resources tab, centralizes background check management for 360 and 360 Plus plan users.

  • This feature allows admins and supervisors to monitor, track, and order background checks efficiently.

  • With tabs for All, Completed, and Pending requests, users can easily filter and track checks by employee, date, type, and status.

  • This streamlined approach enhances HR process management and improves overall visibility for hiring and compliance.

  • Available on 360 and 360 Plus plans.

Task display for absences: Employees can now view associated job, task, or cost center details on absence requests in the Team Schedule, enhancing context and transparency within schedules.

Additional updates: Recent schedule enhancements improve shift tracking with updates such as calendar column alignment, support for screen resizing, and optimized team schedule views.

Bug Fixes

  • Team Schedule: Resolved calendar display issues to ensure proper shift visibility across screen sizes and prevent cut-off views.

  • Shift Tasks: Fixed issues with task timestamps, required attachments, and color-coding for incomplete tasks.

  • Other improvements: Consistent avatar colors, fixed shift copying errors, and validation for required form fields.
