It's been an exciting summer for us! Fingercheck released its new Scheduler in open beta, improved Team Chat, and more bug fixes this month. These updates improve scheduling, communication, and user feedback to improve the experience.

Team Chat and the improved Schedule aim to revolutionize workforce management. These tools improve workforce management by enhancing communication and scheduling.

Team Chat is currently in closed beta and ready to transform how businesses operate. Closed beta lets a select group of users test new features before they go public. It is available exclusively for 360 Plus plans and offers seamless communication through 1:1 chats, group discussions, and easy file sharing, ensuring that team members stay connected and informed. To join the closed beta, please reach out to your salesperson.

The Scheduler is in open beta, allowing you to join and use it before it's officially released to the general public. There is a button on your dashboard to try it. Coupled with the Scheduler's new features, such as tabbed views for better organization, a streamlined sidebar for efficient grouping, filtering, and sorting, color coding, and enhanced shift management indicators and warnings, you gain unprecedented control and flexibility.

By integrating real-time communication with advanced scheduling capabilities, you can swiftly address conflicts, ensure compliance, and keep your team aligned and productive.

Key Highlights

1. New Scheduler (Open Beta)

Fingercheck is excited to introduce redesigned features to enhance your scheduling experience with improved speed and loading times. These updates include:

Sleek design

User-friendly interface

Faster performance

  • The new scheduler works much faster, reducing wait times and making everything run more smoothly.

Tabbed views for enhanced organization

  • Viewing by Job/Task/Cost Center/Dept: Navigate through your schedules easily using tabbed views, allowing you to quickly switch between different jobs, tasks, cost centers (CC), and departments.

  • Grouping by Job/Task/CC/Dept: Group your schedules using tabs, making it simpler to manage and organize your workforce according to specific criteria.

Streamlined sidebar

  • Group, Filter, and Sort from One Place: The new sidebar provides a centralized location to group, filter, and sort your schedules, streamlining your workflow and saving you time.

New indicators and counters

  • Indicators: Stay on top of potential issues with indicators that highlight shift warnings and conflicts. Quickly filter the schedule to see all employees or resources associated with each item.

  • Counters: View total hours and shifts scheduled for the week and day, further broken down by resource or employee. Note that these counters exclude open shifts.

Enhanced warnings

  • Admins can set limits to ensure compliance and manage workloads effectively. Warnings will appear when:

    • An employee exceeds the specified number of shifts in a day.

    • An employee exceeds the specified number of shifts in a week.

    • An employee exceeds the specified number of hours in a day.

    • An employee exceeds the specified number of hours in a week.

Improved conflict detection

  • Admins can now easily identify scheduling conflicts, such as:

    • An employee is scheduled for a shift during their unavailable time or when their availability does not match the shift.

    • An employee having requested or approved PTO during a scheduled shift.

    • Overnight shifts spanning into a day not currently in view will now have a +1 indicator for clarity and viewing.

Flexible publishing

  • Admins can now choose to publish shifts for their selected view only, rather than being required to publish all unpublished shifts for the week. This provides greater control and flexibility in managing your schedule.

At-a-glance information

  • Punch Status Display: View punch status directly on the schedule.

  • Punch Times Display: Punch times are displayed when hovering over a shift, available in any view.
